Step out of the February chill and settle into a cozy evening of cinema. We’ll watch three Academy Award–winning films together: The Great Gatsby (1974), As Good As It Gets (1997), and Gravity (2013). Then, we'll unpack them in a lively conversation full of insight, laughter, and your boldest opinions. This friendly, seminar-style course offers connection, fresh perspectives, and a little midwinter magic. Tamara Oakman

is a film scholar and humanities professor with dual Master’s degrees, including an M.A. in Humanities specializing in Film & Media Studies. She has taught film analysis and cultural studies for over a decade in both higher education and community settings. In 2019, she received Widener University’s Life Changing Professor Award in recognition of her transformative teaching.
