This series of four lectures aims to address fundamental questions about America’s most significant conflict, questions that many citizens today have yet to explore. Delving deeper than internet searches, these lectures provide invaluable insights. Why did America fracture violently? When did the Civil War truly ignite? Who were the participants, and what impact did it have on local communities? Did terrorism have a role? The war involved everyone: people of all ages, races, and genders, including pacifists, volunteers, draftees, enslaved persons, and freemen. Their stories paint a vivid picture. With over 10,000 skirmishes, sieges, and battles, we can only scratch the surface of Civil War combat. However, we can guide you to access military service records for Union and Confederate veterans.
