You were drawn to Mt. Airy and you care about it, but do you know how it came to be a diverse neighborhood with an international reputation as an example of racial integration and harmony? Members of the Mt. Airy Neighborhood Diversity Initiative (MANDI) leading this class want to encourage awareness and discussion of the history and how to maintain and strengthen Mt. Airy as an inclusive and racially diverse neighborhood. This 2-part learning and conversation series aims to be an enjoyable community-building experience for participants. Long-term and newer neighbors are welcome. Scholarships are available; call MALT to request. This workshop will be facilitated by a team of educators and organizers, including Linda Bell of East Mt. Airy Neighbors, Janice Lion, MSS, Christina Jackson, PhD., Lis Bass, Ph.D., and Sukey Blanc, Ph.D.
Fee: $20.00
