Unleash your creativity! In this course, teen writers will explore the world of monster metaphors. Monsters are a great way of exploring big ideas, from gender to culture clashes to innocence vs. guilt. From ancient monsters to today, we will discuss how monsters help us understand the “rules” of being human by breaking them. Through fun writing exercises, students will design their own monster metaphors and develop narratives that call attention to thought-provoking and important themes (and spooky ones too!).
