The independence of the courts is a cornerstone of American democracy, but what does judicial independence really mean, and why does it matter today? How does the increase in individual violent threats to members of the judiciary impact the ability of courts to be effective? Explore the history and role of an independent judiciary and examine the challenges facing the courts in today’s political and social climate. We will hear directly from at least one member of the judiciary and have an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas. Bring your curiosity and join the conversation!
