American Bellydance is an awesome art form. The dynamic movements and vibrant postures pull from numerous international regions including North Africa and Turkey while combined with American dance culture. This is a dance class that will teach introductory bellydance moves. We will learn skirt dancing and veil, but we will also learn core movements. Note: The first weeks might be a little rough if you sit all day, but if you stay all six weeks it can help you improve your posture, use your core muscles, improve upper body flexibility, and build shoulder strength!

If you are driving, there is a parking lot behind the church. To enter, use the driveway to the right of the white house, located to the right of the church. SEPTA Options: Route L bus stops at Germantown & Chestnut Hill Avenues. Route 23 bus stops a block away at Germantown & Evergreen Avenues. An Nichols
is an established performer in the Philadelphia community. Within the world of Improv, she trained at Philly Improv Theater and the Magnet and has performed in the PA & NJ Ren Faires, Bright Invention Ensemble, Philly Improv Theatre Conservatory, Lancaster Improv, and more! She has served as the diversity advisor for ImprovUtopia and directed Improvised Star Trek for ImprovFest Ireland. In the world of dance, she is a certified BellyQueen bellydance instructor who started in 2001 and went onto study with June Seaney, Tessa Myers, Habiba, Kaeshi Chai (BellyQueen), Oreet (bellydancer of the year) and Zoe Akili.
