Join in the fun of learning how to handle materials and processes in drawing and watercolor in a supportive, friendly environment. Receive hands-on instruction in basic watercolor washes, color mixing, line drawing and shading techniques. We do a few projects together with plenty of hands-on instruction. The class welcomes newcomers as well as those who want to brush up on their skills!!

8855 Germantown Ave. Just past Chestnut Hill Hospital, make a right into driveway. There is a large parking lot behind the church. Route L bus stops at Germantown Avenue & Norman Lane. Route 23 bus stops 2-3 blocks away at Germantown & Evergreen Avenues. Chestnut Hill West or East at the end of the line is about a 3-4 block walk.View Larger Map
Marcia Jones
, MFA, is a teaching artist in Mt. Airy with 50 years experience teaching art to all ages, in art centers and art schools. Her instruction-based teaching method, which she named Making Art Makes Us Smarter (c.2010), represents her passionate belief in the regenerative power of creative art. Marcia’s primary mediums are watercolor and pastel. Her work can also be seen at Le Bus in East Falls, and in private collections.
