Beginning Piano

Improve your listening, memorization and problem-solving skills, while learning to play beautiful music! This course will cover the essentials: clefs, note reading, fingering, counting/meter, dynamics, body/hand position, and basic music theory. A look into the piano will help you understand how this classical instrument works as well. You will gain a sense of accomplishment in the multitasking aspects of playing the piano. Simple at home exercises will reinforce the class work, and daily practice is strongly encouraged. Students will need to bring their own keyboards to the class.

There is a $10 materials fee payable to the teacher at the first class for a piano lesson book.
