Poetry is another way to tell a story, by exploring one’s own truths, observations, feelings, and even humor. Poetry is more than rhyme schemes and syllable counts - it can be fun! You will have the opportunity to experiment with your inner poet, even if you don’t think you have one. This course is an outlet to connect individuals to their own poetic design, allowing a brave space to try new things without judgment. No experience necessary: all you need is curiosity. At the end of the course, students will have a small collection of poetry (3-10+) to build on their own if so inspired.

Notes:

The course will be pen and paper based. Electronic devices are discouraged (unless needed) as to provide sensory downtime from screens.
Fee: $64.00
