Zentangle®: Three Perspectives

Zentangle® is a calming, meditative art method that uses simple, structured patterns to create beautiful designs. This class is open to both beginners and returning students, offering a fresh creative experience each week as we explore three unique approaches. On the first week we will create a Zentangle® 3Z Star. This fun star is suitable for a tree, a rearview mirror, a wall, a card, or as a gift. We will learn 2–3 tangles and work with beautiful color pens to bring your star to life. On the second week we’ll dive into Klimt: Zentangle® Edition. Gustav Klimt was a very famous Austrian painter known for his paintings of women and perhaps most famously for The Kiss. We will translate some of his signature shapes into the language of Zentangle®, blending his iconic style with your own pattern work. We will finish up the series with Zenbuttons. A Zenbutton is a circle (like a button) with inner circles that are tangled using 3–4 Zentangle®-inspired fragments. You’ll learn how to layer these fragments to create a rich, eye-catching design. There is a $25 materials fee due at registration.
