Chanticleer has been called the most romantic, imaginative, and exciting public garden in America. Enjoy a 90-minute walking tour featuring garden history, seasonal highlights, and tour of the first floor of the historic Chanticleer House. Chanticleer is a 35-acre pleasure garden, where gardeners lead the design and the garden is a study of texture, form, and color. It is an extraordinary garden, and MALT is delighted to offer this tour. We recommend that you dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring your water bottle, and be sure to bring a camera. This program will happen rain or shine. Course fee includes admission to the garden.

Chanticleer requires parking reservations, so please make your free reservation in advance by visiting Chanticleer’s website, Reservations will be available 3 weeks before the tour. If you are unable to make a free parking reservation, please contact This program will happen rain or shine so dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring your water bottle, and a camera. Details for Arrival When group members arrive, Chanticleer staff will check for the parking reservation and you will be asked your name. Meet on the entrance circle until the whole group has arrived. You can check in with the group at the front desk and your tour guide will begin once everyone has arrived. A few other pieces of information: - Chanticleer doesn’t have a café onsite that offers food or beverages, so your guests may want to come prepared with provisions. - Chanticleer has some topography, a 1-mile paved path, and if your group is up for it we will walk across grass and uneven surfaces to see various garden areas - We recommend sturdy footwear, comfortable clothing, bringing a filled water bottle, and any other items (rain gear, hiking poles, sunscreen) as needed.
