Have fun learning this ancient Chinese tile game. Using 152 tiles, players form hands and earn points. It's an intricate game that provides an exercise for the mind, an opportunity for social groups to get together, and is played competitively in tournaments throughout the US.
Notes:
First class is MANDATORY for new students of the game. New students must order the 2025 LARGE PRINT playing card from the National Mah Jongg League for $15, available at nationalmahjonggleague.org. Do not purchase via Amazon as the quality of the cards are inferior and sometimes incorrectly printed. We will be using the 2024 card for the beginning 2 months of class, which I will provide rather than having you purchase 2 cards (one for 2024 and one for 2025)
