Naked Eye Astronomy

Tour the fall sky at night. Learn the basics of how the heavens change day by day. Find your way among the constellations by using bright stars as guideposts and pointers. Learn the difference between a star and a planet and how to tell them apart. Listen to some star lore and stories. The only equipment you need is your pair of eyes, though you may bring binoculars if you like. The instructor will bring an 8" telescope for students to look through. Class will not be held if it is cloudy or rainy. Gather at the MALT office and caravan to Ft. Washington State Park.
