Artists draw inspiration from many sources including places, personal experiences, and other artists' work. Art is not created in a vacuum and the impact of new sights, sometimes drawn from the past, can bring exciting innovations. We will consider van Gogh and the artists he loved; muses, like Lizzie Siddal, who sparked new creative paths for several Pre-Raphaelite painters; nature that inspired series after series to occur, and many more thrilling connections. From historic to contemporary images, our conversation includes a diversity of artists and ‘isms and short enriching videos.
