Camping Skills for Women

$15 materials fee payable to the instructor. Includes campground rental, dinner on June 10, and breakfast on June 11. Students should bring their own tent, recommend a two person or larger. Sleeping bag, blanket is optional. Air mattress or sleeping pad. Pillow. Your own coffee/tea mug. Portable lantern or flashlight, water bottle, toiletries and any medications you need. A change of clothes; two pair of socks. If you run hot or cold, pack accordingly. Any snacks or drink you would like. Optional: One waterproof tarp with grommets to cover tent in case of rain (no smaller than 8x10 ft), available on Amazon for $9.99.

Camping season is almost here! Do you want to know how to set up your own camp site to be efficient, safe and comfortable? This hands-on class will teach you what you need to make you a camping maven. You will learn the skills needed to set up a comfortable camp site for eating, sleeping and lounging. This is glamping ladies, so no hiking is required, but most importantly there is no experience necessary. Class is for women 21+ only. PLEASE NOTE: This will be an overnight trip. Dinner and breakfast will be served. A Student Information Packet can be downloaded at that includes a meal plan questionnaire and student information form/emergency contact to be returned by June 3, as well as a packing checklist and a map of the campground.
