Mary Raines	is a licensed attorney in New York and Illinois. She was employed by Chicago's Anti-Cruelty Society to develop and deliver programming on animal welfare issues, including the history of animal welfare laws. She practiced for many years as an assistant Cook County state's attorney, specializing in child abuse and neglect. Mary is donating her fees to the SPCA.
