In the early 20th century, the new medium of phonograph records provided a variety of entertainment to listeners worldwide. We'll learn about the many artists who recorded on 78 RPM records and listen to a wide selection of records covering different genres, spanning all the way from 1900 to 1949. Everything from early vaudeville comedians and turn-of-the-century pop songs, to the pioneers of jazz and blues will be covered in this unique course.
