Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. It emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. The exercises elongate and strengthen your muscles, improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility. A body with balanced strength and flexibility is less likely to be injured.
