Grant Writing for Beginners

This class presents the components of successful non-profit grant proposals for the novice grant writer. A user-friendly, step-by-step guide will demystify and simplify the proposal writing and submission processes. Students will learn the nuts and bolts of writing a grant proposal. Discussion will include the role of grant writing in fundraising, different types of funders, steps of the grant writing process, elements of a grant proposal, resources for identifying potential funders, and budgeting. By the end of the course, students will understand grant writing basics and be ready to write a real proposal.

Notes:

$15 materials fee payable to the instructor. Class will be held in the Parlor, 2nd floor.
