This course will focus on how to be an effective citizen advocate for the issues that matter to you in the Pennsylvania legislature. Citizen involvement is critical for the operation of government. Students will learn: the composition of the PA legislature, the policy geography of the PA legislature, the legislative process, the role of citizen advocacy in the legislative process in Harrisburg and the do's and don'ts of effective citizen advocacy. Also included will be a discussion on how to influence Congress.
