There are still openings remaining at this time.
Explore the many quirky things that folks in the 18th c. used to maintain health with a dose of everyday hygiene for good measure. After touring Grumblethorpe, aka John Wister's Big House, students will make a container of the very best lavender-scented hand cream/body butter they have ever used and receive directions to make more at home. They will also make a spring tonic (that doubles as a marinade!) using common kitchen ingredients and early spring "weeds." What fun to discover how to use what was, and still is, "at hand" to make useful and delicious recipes!
